The one thing that stands out from Meshani and Schalk’s wedding was the joke we played on her on the way there. Michelle has been following Meshani on Facebook since she booked us for her wedding and we knew that she had a great sense of humour.
On our way to the wedding Dewald thought it would be funny to send Meshani (whom at that point he’s never met) a voicenote stating that Michelle is sick, and he doesn’t feel like driving all the way through to the wedding alone, and if it would be possible to shift the wedding a week later.
Now, knowing that this would be impossible, we thought Meshani would just laugh it off and play along. BUT – at that moment we lost signal, and while Meshani was frantically trying to call us to find out what’s going on, she couldn’t get hold of us. Once we got signal again, Michelle received voice notes with the bride already organizing everyone at the wedding with a cellphone to take photos.
Dewald still thinks it’s funny!
